How it all started
Actor and Founder, Miranda Aitken was determined to grow a professional network and career on her own terms.
After graduating from the Bachelor of Arts (Acting) at WAAPA in 2016, Miranda was faced with problems of a lack of access to opportunity as a freelancer and a lack of autonomy as a represented actor. Her solution was to build a company which would provide other options for actors building their career, offering them more job visibility, access to opportunity and independence.
Interested in tech and design, Miranda wondered how modern software might improve casting for producers wanting to streamline the processes.
The vision for Giggler has always been to create a casting platform that functions intuitively and is a joy to use.
It’s time to democratise casting and give talent a voice. Giggler opens the door to a new gig economy, updated technology and a wider talent pool for projects. Our mission is to support talent in their search for work and create an ecosystem for sharing ideas. We hope you like it!
